Explore → Draft → Review → Refine → Ship. AI is most valuable in Explore and Draft. It is dangerous in Review unless a human owns the last mile.
Where judgment lives
Judgment lives in the framing of the prompt, the shape of the review, and the decision to keep or discard. That is engineering. The typing is not.
Daily practice
MCP for context. Claude for architecture and long-form reasoning. Copilot for in-editor completion. ChatGPT for exploration and rubber-duck. Figma AI for design-to-code alignment. Each has a role, and the role changes with the task.
